Missing or Damaged Freight Claim Process

All freight claims must be submitted CabinetDistribution (with the required photos and paperwork listed below) within 24 hours of the freight delivery date.

Failure submit a claim with CabinetDistribution within 24 hours of the delivery date may disqualify the claim with the freight company, resulting in the loss of eligibility for replacement products from CabinetDistribution.

What to do your items are missing or damaged at the time of delivery:

  • Insist that the delivery driver acknowledge and notate the missing or damaged freight on both the driver copy and the customer copy of the delivery slips.
  • Request that the driver contact his dispatch report the damaged or missing freight.
  • Take clear pictures of the damaged freight while the items are still on the pallet.
  • Take clear pictures of damaged items inside of their individual packaging with the product name visible.
  • Take clear pictures of the damage teach item once removed from the individual packaging.
  • Do not discard any of the packaging materials or move/ship the damaged freight until the claim has been settled and the claimant has been directed by CabinetDistribution.
  • Protect damaged freight from additional damage or loss.
  • Email the following information, along with the photos, and a scanned copy of the notated delivery slip orders@cabinetdistribution.com
  • CabinetDistribution sales order (SO) number
  • Buyer’s name
  • Shipping address
  • List of each damaged (as listed on the packaging) or missing product
  • Description of damage or shortage of each listed product
  • Items that have been assembled or installed cannot be claimed as damaged.
  • We will respond with an acknowledgment email to confirm receipt.
  • Once all of the needed information is received and a claim has been opened with the freight company CabinetDistribution will proceed with shipping replacement products as soon as possible.

NOTE: CabinetDistribution photographs all shipments in good condition prior releasing the products the freight company; CabinetDistribution is not responsible for processing any claims for product damage(s) or loss on freight shipments not scheduled/managed by CabinetDistribution
